Last weekend the sun finally showed itself after numerous days of grey weather with mist, rain and all sorts of dreary conditions. So this was a welcome change. The temperature was a good 8-10C with the sun steadily on the horizon it actually was a really nice warm day. Time to shoot!

I have this idea, for a while now, it started with the photos on the desktop of the Microsoft surface line. Remember, the animals - owl photographed. To me it was as the birds where portrayed as a humans, a portrait almost. This intrigued me and wanted to try this for myself. So I thought let’s try to capture birds in portraits like humans, i.e. bird portrait photography.

In search of the European Bison, Nationaal Park Zuid Kennemerland

Whenever I visit the Dutch dunes I always end up in the same area. This area lets me photograph nice landscapes, but also a variety of wildlife, ranging from small birds to elk, deer and foxes. However this time around I wanted to go to the more northern part of the Dunes area, which is Nationaal Park Zuid Kennemerland.
